Dear Colleagues,
I am writing to let you know that the Master in Public Archaeology (MAPA) program at Binghamton University has a rolling deadline for applications until April 15th. As you may already know, MAPA is a two-year program that trains students to work in non-academic archaeological careers.
Focusing on Cultural Resource Management (CRM), MAPA students learn fundamental field and lab skills while also gaining expertise in the laws, policies, and procedures (such as Section 106 and NAGPRA) that govern archaeological research. Students gain real-world experience by working at the Public Archaeology Facility (PAF), during summer internships at local CRM companies and federal/state institutions, and by assisting research in one of the many archaeology labs at Binghamton University.
Applicants can find details on the MAPA program here: https://www.binghamton.edu/anthropology/about-us/archaeology/ma-public-archaeology.html
