New York State Museum Laboratory Tour: From Field to Lab to Exhibit: Behind the Scenes Archaeology at the New York State Museum

New York State Museum Laboratory Tour
Projects managed by the CRSP during the 2007 program year.

Find out what it takes to bring archaeological fieldwork into public view at a behind the scenes laboratory tour. Participants will learn how archaeologists analyze artifacts and how this information is used in exhibitions, museum reports and to answer research questions. Join staff from the Cultural Resource Survey Program for a behind-the-scenes tour of a working archaeology lab on October 7, 2014 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.

Examples from recent excavations will be on display. Adults and Children are welcome. The tour is limited to 30 people and registration is required by Wednesday, October 1st for this free event.
